HOW VOLUNTEERS HELP
Guernsey’s Hospice has a huge number of strongly committed volunteers who help at the Hospice, the shop in Mont Arrive or who become involved in a whole host of fundraising initiatives. They also do anything from mailing and administration to helping on the wards.
Head of Volunteering, Vanessa Kenny, says ‘Time is precious. Can you spare some of yours to help Les Bourgs?
‘We are extremely privileged to have working alongside our staff an exceptional team of volunteers. They bring a wealth and diversity of knowledge and experience, gained from outside the Hospice. Each and every one enriches the life of Les Bourgs in their own way, bringing in their outside interests which enhance the service provided to both patients and their families.
Volunteers are an indispensable addition to the team at Les Bourgs, in the Hospice itself and the Hospice Shop. Friends of Les Bourgs and the Board of Governors also deliver an invaluable service. Here are some of the tasks undertaken by our volunteers – there I something to suit everyone:’
