There are some excellent local resources available which we are very excited to promote:

The Health Improvement Commission

"Walk this Way" is a brilliant initiative to help people get active. The team have set up 16 walking routes in St Peter Port and St Sampsons which are perfect for inspiring a break from the office in your lunch hour plus an additional 6 walks around the reservoir area to explore the lanes and perhaps undiscovered places. Each sign has useful information about the distance, number of steps you will cover and estimated time that it will take you. There is a also a digimap link which shows the routes on a map which can be accessed while you are out and about.

NEW** 8 Daily Mile walking routes in parks and green spaces - to be released early April.

Visit Guernsey

You don't need to be a visitor to use this excellent resource of 20 walking routes. They are clearly laid out to help you discover parts of the island that work for you with details about the length of walk (1hr/1.5hr/2hr or 2.5+hr), terrain (easy/moderate/hard) and on some there are audio guides which provide you with information about the history of the area or highlighting things that you may see. Time to discover parts of the island you may never have been to before!

Ruettes Tranquilles

There is a large network of lanes across the island which offer a quieter walk. You can download the leaflet from the States of Guernsey website or use the  Ruettes Tranquilles app to find out more.

There are also a number of walking groups on the island :
