  • We are delighted with the arrival of our Poppy from the Tower of London display which is a great addition to our garden and can be seen from most of the rooms

Fundraising in 2015

We are delighted to announce the events planned for 2015:

  • March: 30 makes in 30 days - an activity for crafters, artists, knitters and much more of all ages to create an item to exhibit and sell.
  • April: Walk 30 ways in 30 days -  we are launching a 30 walks in 30 days event all we ask that you walk for 30 minutes a day for 30 days.  
  • April/May: 3030 cycle challenge which is in its 8th year now, organised and run by Ian Browns Cycle Shop if you want to take part  contact Ian Browns.
  • May 24th Rock to Rocque Cycle Ride this popular family event starting from either the top of the Val des Terres, Rocquaine or Grandes Rocque back to the North Beach.
  • July: 30 bays in 30 days -  Swim for 30 strokes each day for 30 days in 30 different bays, what a great way to enjoy the sun - which will hopefully shine!
  • October: 30 runs in 30 days will finish off the light evenings with runners being asked to run for 30 minutes a day for 30 days.

The effect of the Image Rights registration is that the logo may not be used without the express permission of the Les Bourgs Hospice.  The Les Bourgs Hospice logo has been registered to ensure that the use of the logo is authorised and that such use is for a legitimate purpose.  In the event that consent is provided for use of the Les Bourgs Hospice logo, the official logo will be provided for you to use.  Should you wish to use the logo please contact trish@lesbourgs.com or by telephone 251111 and speak to one of our administration staff who will be happy to help you.

Buy a Lottery Gift for  for the person who has everything, a gift that has potential to keep giving.

What a great Valentines, Easter or Birthday gift for the person who is impossible to buy for would a lottery play be with an outlay of just £5 a month (minimum 1 year) with a possible income of up to £1000 at each draw.

Currently we offer 2 top prizes of £1000, 1 second prize of £500, 4 third prizes of £250 and 5 fourth prizes of £100 each month, this will go up as we get more members so your chances of winning remain good.

The draw is done on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and all the results are available via the website and on Facebook and Twitter. All winners will be notified by letter and paid by cheque.

This is a fantastic fundraising initiative for Les Bourgs Hospice bringing in a great sum of money each year for us in a source which is regular and can be relied upon for us to budget well.  There are 12 winners each month who benefit from this fundraiser which is extremely rewarding for us and for those who support us and those who win!

Retail Outlets and Gifts

We have a range of physical and virtual gifts for those times when you are looking for new ideas on what to buy.

 In the hospice reception area not only will you find the items we sell on our online store,  but also handmade gifts carefully crafted by our day hospice group.  Here you will find a selection of colourfully hand painted silk scarves and other interesting items.  The display constantly changes and make wonderful locally made presents for you to give to friends and family. You can visit the reception to purchase goods Monday to Friday from 0900hrs until 1700hrs and you are very welcome to come in at any time between those hours.

Mont Arrive Store opening hours:

  • Mondays Closed
  • Tuesday to Friday 0830 - 1600hrs
  • Saturday 1300 - 1630hrs

Childrens Shop opening hours:

  • Monday to Saturday 0930 - 1630hrs

Volunteers

The team of volunteers is essential for maintaining the smooth running of the Hospice and its retail outlets. 

There are many ways you can volunteer dependent upon your skills, time available and preferences. 

We are now looking for Saturday Volunteers at the Bridge Shop anytime between 09.30 - 16.30 we can accept applications from anybody age 15 plus. 

We are also looking for volunteers to help each day at the Mont Arrive Store where a large amount of stock is received each day, any time you have available.

Any time that you have free you are welcome to give to us, we accept volunteers for as little as a couple of hours once a month to those who can commit regularly, everyone is welcome from 16 years up.
