The Light up a Life Carol Service was held on Sunday 7th December and the room was packed again with overflow in the corridors. Thanks to Rev Claire Claxton who led the services, Sir Richard Collas, Dee Blackburn, Karen Marquis and Wendy Hordel for doing the readings, Rodney and Sandra Clough and Pet Blake for car park managment and Food From Friends volunteers for the catering, and of course to everyone who attended.
The 30 bays in 30 days event has been a huge success raising over £40,000 for Les Bourgs Hospice. We were encouraged by many runners to hold a 30 runs in 30 days event in October. This event has also been a huge success raising over £34,350 to date. Keep looking for the 30 walks in the spring ............ The 2014 30 in 30 cycle challenge had 67 riders in red shirts this year and we also had 20 7 in 7 riders who are under 16 riding each day for 7 days to raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice. These guys raised an incredible £57,770.56 this year and money is still coming in. The Rock to Rocque cycle ride was well attended with over 1100 riders out again this year between these two events we raised over £80,000.
